Setting up your Stripe account properly is key to delivering a smooth purchase experience for your students and ensuring you receive payments without delay. Below are essential tips to get your Stripe account ready for selling on TeachKit.


✅ 1. Connect Your Stripe Account

Before you can sell courses on TeachKit, you must connect your Stripe account:

Note: If you don’t yet have a Stripe account, you’ll be prompted to create one during the connection process.


🛒 2. Create a Product for Each Paid Course

Each course you plan to sell needs to be linked to a corresponding Stripe Product and Price. Here’s how:

  1. Log into your Stripe Dashboard
  2. Go to Products > + Add Product
  3. Name your product after the course title (e.g. “Photography for Beginners”)
  4. Add a one-time Price (e.g. $29.00)
  5. Save your product

You can later link this product to your TeachKit course from within your course settings.


🧪 3. (Optional but Recommended) Set Up a Stripe Sandbox and Test the Checkout Flow

While not required, we highly recommend running through a full test purchase from a student's perspective to get familiar with the checkout experience.
